Air Monkeys Magazine

Air Monkeys was established over a few beers by friends. The idea was to create an easy going aircooled vw club ran by friends. The magazine we also create allows us to express ourselves and show the world the VW scene in a different light.

Owns a 1969 Early Bay with his wife Sam. He enjoys growing his beard, watching his hair recede, camping in the bus, listening to punk rock and riding singlespeed bikes.

Sam- Air Monkeys Artist, Illustrator, Photographer, Feature Writer

Owns a 1969 Early Bay with Joe. She also likes doodling cute things and has an affection for all things green!

Edd- Air Monkeys Photographer, Chief Feature Writer,

Is the proud owner of a 1967 Bug currently having a body off resto! He enjoys to slappa da bass, crashing into vintage MG’s and is a generally helpful chap!

Shan- Air Monkeys Layouts and Designs

Shan is new to the world of Air Monkeys so we’re getting her to work extra hard. Currently undertaking a degree in illustration we can abuse her new skills! She has also just passed her driving test so we’ll get her behind a VW soon.

Martin- Air Monkeys Mechanic, Photographer

Owns a 1966 Beetle which has been in the family for decades! He is the official Air Monkeys grease monkey who gets everyone on the road and keeps them there. He loves drinking tea and demolishing his house- then building it again! 

Rich- Air Monkeys Feature Writer

Rich is the part owner of a cross-over bay. Its under-going a full resto at the moment which will hopefully included an engine re-build and a Red9 axle conversion. He also drives a 1966 Splity Panel-van which he recently went to Wolfsburg in. Rich enjoys mountain biking, drinking cider and fast cars!.
